An article here on how weight affects women’s pay

I find this article interesting. I don’t doubt its validity, but I find the interpretation of the findings interesting. While I believe weight prejudice is a factor, I also wonder how class plays into this as well. It seems that the more “elite” one is, the more time they can afford to spend toning their body to fit norms…

But then again, this is just my observations from my elitist college experience where everyone looks exactly the same and eats expensive health food and goes to yoga everyday, as oppose to my home life where food isn’t as healthy, and not as many people can afford to go to the gym at the same rate.
